I had the pleasure of working with Oliver on all kinds of projects for the last 3 or 4 years. I randomly sent him an ig message saying we should work together and a few months later he found my work and went to hit me up to work on his live show and saw I had already messaged him the same. Serendipity-do. We jumped on a call and instantly hit it off. In 2023 I flew to LA and called in a favor at OTOY and got Oliver 3D scanned at lightstage and rigged him up for animation. We made tons of tour visuals an album cover and did lots of fun projects animating his digital double and now I want to share it here for anyone who wants to make tribute / fan art, 3D print or anything to immortalize the legend. The rig has facial morphs and skeleton compatible with iclone mocap

Oliver would come crash at my studio for weeks and we'd just jam on ridiculous mocap animations of him dancing, blasting CG feces out of his ass and other completely dumb stuff. One time he did a show here in Toronto on his Dr. Oliver Tree tour and didn't sell enough tickets and they wanted to cancel the show, but he refused because he wanted to hang and make viz with me so he did the show anyway at half capacity and we just pulled a couple all-nighters and made a ton of animation so we could play it on the big screens at the club. That's the kind of guy he was - 100% in it for the love of making art. He crashed on my couch so we could keep working nonstop and we blew the hotel money on fancy dinners. Guy knew how to live. I was always blown away by how focused and dedicated he was to every aspect of his craft. He went hard. Nonstop creative machine and a hugely inspiring dude.
Gonna miss that guy. Had a ton of good times helping him realize his vision. RIP OT
